It was really inspiring when the Naib Sadr I of Lajna Imaillah Ghana, Dr. Mrs. Fatima Eshun Abbas joined 42 Lajna members of the Zone to start planting coconut seedlings on a portion of about 64 acres of land which belongs to the Jama’at on Sunday May 5th, 2022. About 500 out of 700 seedlings were planted with the hope of seeing them fruiting according the maturity period of the variety of coconut seedling planting. It could be said with permissible certainty that, members who took part in the exercise would never forget their bitter experience with the heavy downpour that faithful day. It is worth to state that, the highly enthused members consider their sacrifice a replica of the recorded ones of our pioneers who championed the success we are seeing today. ISLAMIC MARRIAGE SEMINAR

The Agona West Circuit of Agona quenched the thirst of her members in a socio religious program which was aimed to mend the possible cracks in marriages. The program, Islamic Marriage Seminar had the theme, “Building a Strong and Healthy Marriage was organized on March 6th, 2022 at the Swedru Ahmadiyya Mosque with an audience of 57 Lajna members.

The program had two resource persons Madam Keelson, Former Zonal Sadr, Mangoase and Madam Asmaw Ahmed Tetteh as the first and second speakers respectively delivered on the theme to the admiration of the audience. Madam Hannah Keelson gave a general view about an exemplary Islamic marriage and practical ways of wives ensuring a peaceful marriage. Most of her submissions were based on her experience and her history in resolving many marital problems. The audience were amazed about the in-depth knowledge shared by the second person on the subject with literal from the Holy Qur’an and the Hadith.

The second speaker made her submission very practical with the reality of marriage in our current society. It would be considered very useful to share direct submission from the second speaker as follows: An Islamic marriage must have all customary rites permitted by Islamic laws duly organized and have nikkah performed with waleema performed as a seal for the marriage. ‘Marriage is the most beautiful danger in the world for it can easily make or unmake you. Marriage is indeed a complex institution but a blessing to mankind. Marriage is very important in Islam as the Holy Prophet Muhammed(sa) said the following; Prophet Muhammad advised Muslims to marry; he forbade the practice of celibacy. He said, "Marriage is my precept and my practice. Those who do not follow my practice are not of me." He also said, "When a man has married, he has completed one half of his religion.

Marriage is part of my sunnah, and whoever does not follow my sunnah has nothing to do with me. Get married, for I am heartened by your great numbers before the nations (of other Prophets).” (Sunan Ibn Majah), “Four are from the practices of the Messengers: modesty, the use of perfume, the use of the tooth-stick, and marriage.” (Sunan At-Tirmizi), Get married, for I am heartened by your great numbers before the nations (of other Prophets).” (Shu’ab Al-Iman)

With marriage and its commitments, comes tranquility, affection and mercy. Allah s.w.t. says in the Quran:“And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them, and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed, in that are signs for a people who give thought.” (Surah Ar-Rum, 30:22), “Your spouses are a garment for you as you are for them” (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:188)

The audience were given opportunity to ask and contribute to the program. It could be said with permissible confidence, that the audience really enjoyed the program to the extent that, there was a popular request for a repetition of the program witnessed by couples but not only wives. It is our prayer that, that impressive program yields the expected results.
