AGONA ZONE DONATES TO SWEDRU AHMADIYYA MUSLIM MISSION HOSPITAL

Agona is one the Zones that championed the vision of Lajna Imaillah of marking her Centenary Celebration with a donation to a facility. There were a series of meetings at the various jama’at, circuit and zonal level to plan and execute the donation exercise.

The Zone settled on making her donation to the Children’s Ward of the Swedru Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Hospital. The donation of over Two Thousand Five Hundred Ghana Cedis was done on before the noon of November 6th, 2022. The donation was done by the Zonal Executives led by the Sadr, Madam Amina Essuman Possible, the Agona Zonal Missionary and the Agona West Circuit Missionary.

The donation was a product of contributions from the jama’ats, circuits, zone and some individuals. The donation package included tins of milo, milk, bottled and sachet water, toilet roll, diapers, disinfectants, soap, fruits, washing powder, parazone and other consumables.

The items were received by the Hospital Administrator and some Staff with much appreciation and administration. The recipient of the donation was so much grateful and asked for Allah’s blessings for the Zone to continue with such impressive benevolence. May Allah grant us the strength to continue with this kind gesture. Ameen.

AGONA ZONE LAJNA HOLDS 1ST ZONAL RALLY

Praise be to Allah that, the two-year thirst of organising a Zonal Rally was quenched on August 20th, 2022, when previously all mass gatherings were put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and protocols. The organisation of the Zonal Rally became a reality following the effective collaboration of all the necessary committees that were formed. Frempong, the Zonal Missionary for Agona Zone respectively. It would be considered an important history since this was the first Zonal Rally under the leadership of Mrs. Amina Possible as the Zonal Sadr who gave the Welcome Address and led the Lajna Pledge to commence the program. The Zonal Ijtema’a (Rally) was graced with the attendance and participation of the Agona Zonal President, Zonal Missionary, Zonal Secretary and Zonal Qaid.

The program had inclusion of Health Talk on the Eye by Dr. Rahmat Aidoo, an Optometrist at the Swedru Government Hospital and periodic songs of praise by all the circuits in the Zone.

The NCCE of Agona West Municipal Assembly came to speak on proper upbringing of children when they took notice of the program. They took opportunity to speak on the programs and activities of NCCE. The list of appreciations remains incomplete without including the leadership and membership of Majlis Khudam ul Ahmadiyya, Majlis Ansarullah and all members who contributed in diverse ways to make the program a reality.

The Zonal and the Circuit Executives continue to pay periodic visitations while plans are underway to carry out the intended gesture.

Agona Zone to Renovate the Building of an Aged Member

Agona Zone has had satisfactory results, after evaluating visitation to aged, sick and weak members. The periodic visitation reached the turn of a 60-year-old Madam Adiza Ama Duwa at Kofi Enu Jama’at in the Mankrong Junction Circuit.
The visiting team which comprised the Lajna President and some Executives paid the visit on May 8th, 2022. Madam Duwa really appreciated the visit as this brought memorable joy as a single mother of one child. It emerged from their interaction that, she currently has no means of livelihood. The team was quite worried about the nature and the state of her house. The team after series of interactions with Zonal Sadr came to conclusion to go to her aid by renovating her dilapidated house where she currently lives alone.
Twelve Lajna Members have presented 5 bags of cement to the Circuit Missionary, Muallim Abubakari Ishaque while other members are yet to make their voluntary donations towards this exercise. The renovation exercise is expected to be completed as soon as possible. We hope and pray, Allah grants us the means to make what has been penciled down a reality.
