Kasoa Zone Visitation to Awutu Prisons

On the 30th of April, 2022 the Kasoa Lajna members made a visitation to the Awutu Prisons. This visitation was organized during Ramadan and was deemed as the right time for members to show their love and provide some items to inmates of the home in order to receive all the necessary blessings Allah has promised during this special month of the year. A total of 35 members participated. Among the participants were Madam Amatu Shakur who is the Sadr for the zone and her general members.

Among the items that were presented to the inmates were; toiletries, grains, snacks sachets and bottles of water, soft drinks, washing soaps and powders and liquid soaps.

Kasoa Zonal Indoors Games

On the 24th of April, 2022 the Kasoa Lajna organized indoor games for the general membership in the zone. The main purpose of the program was to bring togetherness among members and also entertain ourselves as well.  A total of 52 Lajna members were present to participate in this wonderful and exciting program. Among the participants were Madam Amatu Shakur, Hajia Sarah Bonsu, executives of the zone and executives from all the various circuits. Games such as Oware, Ludo, cards and pick and act were played.

KASOA ZONAL LAJNA HOLDS 2ND ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Kasoa zonal Lajna Imaillah held their 2nd annual conference on the 27th of March 2022 at the Kasoa central mosque on the theme: "The need for sacrifice, the surest way to purify the soul". 

In her welcome address, the zonal Sadr, Mrs Amatu Shakoor stated that the zone has four circuits and a total of 605 Lajna, 155 Nasirat and 79 girls. She enumerated some achievements...

TARBIYYAT AND TABLIGH FORUM

Alhamdulillah this forum was organized by Lajna Imaillah in the zone to impact some moral values into its members. It was held on 2nd January, 2022. Members were advised to have time in the training of their children. Members were admonished to take their prayers seriously so that their children can see and copy from them. Lajna members were told to advice their children and let them know the consequences of any actions they engage in and how it will affect them in the future.

Members present were encouraged to show utmost respect and love to their husbands and ensure that there is peace in the home. Emphasis was made that for any home to be peaceful, the Lajna (woman) has a greater part to play. The forum was attended by 150 participants.

Sacrifice was made through this platform towards the OSU project.

KASOA NORTH CIRCUIT HOLDS FAMILY FUN GAMES

The leadership of the circuit has put several programs such as organizing tahajjud on the second week of every month, organizing health talks and many others in place to bring all members on board to strive more in the cause of Allah. The circuit is made up of Insaaniya, Opeikuma, Akweley, Krispo city, Obom and Mandela Jama’ats. On 26th December, 2021, a family fun games event was held in Kasoa North circuit. The main focus of this program was to bring both the young and old back on their feet to participate in jama’at activities through games. Games such as oware, ludo, hit the target, blindfolding, and fifa football video game were played.

KASOA ZONAL HEALTH WALK

Alhamdulillah, on the 25th of December, 2021 Kasoa zone organized a health walk for all members. The Khudam, Ansar, Atfal, Lajna and Nairat were all part of this beautiful program. About 70 Lajna members and 35 Nasirat participated. This program was organized for members to burn some calories and to stay healthy and stronger. Members were also advised to make it a daily routine to keep fit and drink more water all the time in order to keep their bodies hydrated.

JAMA'AT TO JAMA'AT LEVEL VISITATION

Alhamdulillah the current and past zonal executives of Kasoa zone organized a nine day jama’at to jama’at visitation which began on 19th December, 2021. The intention behind this program was to interact with members more closely and provide some advice to members on how to make a peaceful home and a happy family. They were advised to treat their husbands with utmost respect and love. In attendance were the Zonal Sadr - Madam Amatur Mohammed, Former Naib Sadr III - Hajia Sadiqa Bonsu Yeboah, Hajia Sakeena Ayyub and Madam Fatima Jibrael Saeed (Fomer Circuit Sadraat), Madam Sadiqa Oforiwaa Hammond (Gen. Secretary) and Madam Aisha K. Sarpong (Zonal Mal/Isha’at Secretary). Members made financial sacrifices at each meeting towards the Osu Lajna Project.

KASOA LAJNA HOLDS TALIM CLASS

Kasoa Lajna held a meeting on 24th October, 2021. The Kasoa Zonal Maulvi in the person of Mr. Ishaque Opoku met Lajna Imaillah on their usual weekend class. This class is organised to help Lajna members to learn and understand verses of the Holy Qur'an and Hadith. The class had two topics to discuss

1. The true translation of Suratul Fatiha

2. The meaning of Qur'an 74:1-6(Surah Al-Muddaththir).

KASOA ZONE COOKING SKILLS/ COMPETITION BETWEEN LAJNA AND

NASIRAT

Alhamdulillah, the programme was organized to display and to share knowledge of recipes of less widespread dishes. This was to teach members to sharpened their cooking skills and improve in their house keeping skills.

Also, the program was to help members acquaint themselves with the cooking skills of some Ghanaian delicacies. All the four circuits (Kasoa North, South, Lomnava and West) in the zone were tasked to prepare foods that most people do not have knowledge of the procedures involved in their preparations.

Foods that were prepared included Kokonte and Werewere soup, Aprapransa, Tuo zaafi and ayoyo. about 43 Lajna and 17 Nasrat members were present for the program.

KASOA ZONE LAJNA VISITS ORPHANAGE

Kasoa zone visited the Royal Seed Orphanage in Kasoa on 21st March, 2021 to donate some items and more importantly to ascertain the true state of the orphans in the school.
Items donated include but not limited to toiletries, provisions and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Appreciative of the donation, the proprietor of the school, Madam Naomi applauded the gesture and called for more of such from the public. She said that the love shown during such visits really improve the lives of the children and shape them into responsible adults.  Madam Naomi cited a number of her students who have grown into responsible adults. Her outfit awarded a certificate of appreciation to the zone during the visit.
The school cadet corps and marching band put on a display to welcome Lajna. The program was graced by not less than 31 Lajna members. Present were Hajia Sarah Bonsu who is on the advisory committee of the Kasoa zone, Madam Amatu Shakur Mohammed (Kasoa Sadr), the general Secretary and many other executive members.
