RECENT ACTIVITIES OF MANKESSIM ZONE
MANKESSIM ZONAL LAJNA DONATES TO MERCY WOMEN’S HOSPITAL
On the 30th of October, 2022, Mankessim Zonal Lajna made a donation to the Mercy Women’s Hospital in Mankessim as part of the Lajna Centenary Celebration. Some of the items donated were drinking water, t-rolls, washing powder, etc.
MANKESSIM CIRCUIT ORGANISES FOOD BAZAAR
On Friday, 30th September, 2022, Mankessim circuit held a food bazaar at the Mankessim Central Mosque after Jummah prayers. Some of the dishes prepared included “apapransa”, bread and cocoa drink.
MANKESSIM ZONAL IJTEMA
Mankessim Zonal Lajna Imaillah held their 4th Annual Zonal Ijtema (Conference) from 13th to 14th August, 2022. The theme for the ijtema was, ‘Steadfastness in Times of Difficulties, a Quality of a True Believing Woman.’ Other activities included handicraft and a health talk. The guest speaker was Ms Zainab Nkrumah. The ijtema was held at the Mankessim Central Mosque and was attended by 302 Lajna and 138 Nasirat. The Queen Mother of Mankessim Traditional Area, Nana Dr. Ama Amissah III also graced the occasion.
MANKESSIM ZONAL LAJNA VISIT THE MCE FOR MFANTSEMAN CONSTITUENCY
A delegation consisting of 8 members of Mankessim Lajna Imaillah visited the MCE for Mfantseman constituency, Hon. Ike Lord Ainoo on the 22nd of July, after Jummah. The reason for the visit was to congratulate the Honorable MCE for his appointment as the MCE for the constituency. Lajna Imaillah also seized the opportunity to thank the Hon. MCE for his donation to the organization during the Eid ul Adha celebration.
The MCE also thanked Lajna Imaillah for the kind gesture and promised to help anytime his services were needed.
MASIH MAUD DAY CELEBRATION
Masih Maud Day celebration was held in Mankessim central Mosque on 27th March, 2022. Members were lectured on the Histories of The Promised Messiah (as) as well as Islam Ahmadiyyat. 56 Lajna and 21 Nasirat participated. During questions and answers session, some members asked questions while others answered questions.
SPORTS FESTIVAL AT MANKESSIM
Mankessim circuit Lajna and Nasirat organized a sports festival at Mankessim on 20th February, 2022 at the central Mosque premises. The activities included; volley ball, basket ball, table tennis, musical chair and eating competition.
Participants benefited from a Health Talk on Blood Sugar, High Blood Pressure, Anxiety, Stress and Depression. A total of 264 members participated.
BREAST CANCER SCREENING EXERCISE
Mankessim circuit organized a breast screening exercise at the central mosque premises on 19th November, 2021. The exercise was in line with the action plan of the Sihat-o-Jismani Secretariat. Four (4) nurses from the Golden Jubilee Hospital at Mankessim were invited to help undertake the exercise. A total of 54 Lajna and 6 Nasirat participated in the exercise. Alhamdulillah. Four (4) Lajna members were advised to have Mammogram done. Members were also advised to regularly self-examine their breast.
MANKESSIM ZONE LAJNA VISITED MFANTSEMAN MEMBER OF PALIAMENT
Mankessim Lajna Imaillah visited the Member of Parliament for Mfantseman constituency, Hon. Ophelia Hayford Mensah on 13th November, 2021 at her residence. She thanked the Jama’at members and took her time to interact with Lajna Imaillah. She advised members to be prayerful and also take their businesses very seriously. She asked members to tell her their needs and some of the members laid down some issues that were bothering them. Mrs. Katura Anderson Ibrahim requested the MP to find a slot for our ladies who would want to go to Nursing and Teachers Training colleges. She also requested the MP to help the traders acquire MASLOC loans to expand their businesses.
In her response, Hon. Ophelia assured members of the Majalis, that all their requests have been recorded and she will act on it accordingly, Insha Allah. She also requested that members should remember her in prayers always.
The Mankessim Zonal Sadr thanked her for the visit and also requested her to help the organization get a bus during the national rally since the MP's late husband, Hon. Ekow Quansah Hayford (Late) used to do it for members in the past. The MP responded that since Mankessim circuit is the first to talk about a bus, she will donate a bus to the organization anytime she gets a donation from a brand company.
MANKESSIM ZONE LAJNA UNDERTAKES WAKAR-E-MAL AT CENTRAL MOSQUE
Mankessim Zone Lajna organized a Wakar-e-Amal at the Central Mosques on 10th January, 2021. Over 47 Lajna and Nasirat participated in the event to keep the mosque and its surrounding clean and to instill in the Nasirat the habit of cleanliness.
MANKESSIM LAJNA MEET SADR MULK AT MANKESSIM CENTRAL MOSQUE
On the 8th of January, 2021, Mankessim Circuit Lajna met Sadr Lajna Mulk, Hajia Anisa N. Iddrisu who was on a familiarization tour, at the Mankessim central Mosque. She was accompanied by some National Amila. Over two Hundred and eighty Lajna were present to welcome Sadr Mulk and listen to her advice and encouragement.
TAHAJUD AT MANKESSIM CENTRAL MOSQUE FOR LAJNA
On the 19th of February, 2021, Mankessim Zone participated in Tahajud prayers at the Central Mosque. A total of 33 Lajna and 3 Nasirat participated in the prayers. Alhamdullilah.
As part of welfare activities an Aqeeqa was held on the same day at the Central Mosque and 49 Lajna and Nasirat attended the event.
Also, on the 21st of February, 2021 54 Lajna and 20 Nasirat attended another Aqeeqa at the Central Mosque. On all occasions, health talks were given on COVD-19 and all protocols were observed.
MANKESSIM ZONE LAJNA AND NASIRAT CELEBRATES MUSLEH MAUD DAY
On the 20th and 21st of February, 2021 both Lajna and Nasirat celebrated Musleh Maud Day at the Mankessim Central Mosque respectively. Musleh Maud day is celebrated by Ahmadi Muslims annually on 20 February in remembrance of the prophecy concerning the birth of an "illustrious son" to Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (ra), The Promised Messiah and Mahdi which has been fulfilled in the person of Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad(ra), the second khalifa.
