SIHAT JISMANI DONATES OVER 500 SANITARY PADS TO THREE ZONES
The Sihat jismani Secretariat as part of its August Action Plan activities and creating awareness on the need for good menstrual hygiene donated 506 sanitary pads to the general public. Beneficiaries were selected from remote areas in the Western and Upper West Regions.
A donation was made on 28th August 2021, at Kalba and Gurungu circuits all in the Upper West zone. 216 disposable sanitary pads were donated to Lajna Imaillah members in these circuits and the donation was led by Sadr Lajna Mulk and some Amila members.
Also, on 29 August, 2021, 150 disposable sanitary pads were distributed to Kwaabaa and Adzeankyewodam villages in the Wassa East district of the Western Region.
On 31 August, 2021 another donation of 140 of sanitary pads were distributed to 150 students at Daboase DA School, SIPL DA School and Daboase SHS.
A total of 290 disposable sanitary pads were equally distributed in Takoradi. The exercise was led by the National Sihat Jismani Secretary and Lajna Executives of the Takoradi zone.
Alhumdullilah the exercise was successful.
