As part of her welfare activities for the 2020/2021 Lajna year, Hajia Anisah Nasirudeen Iddrisu, Sadr Lajna Imaillah Ghana on Tuesday, 17th August, 2021 undertook a memorable visit to the residence of the National Chief Imam, Alhaji Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu at Fadama in the Greater Accra Region.  Sadr Lajna Imaillah was accompanied by nine National Amila members.  Alhaj Quainoo, in charge of Protocols at the Ahmadiyya Mission escorted the team on the visit.

The Nine National Amila members who joined Lajna Sadr, Hajia Anisah Nasirudeen Iddrisu on her visit include: Naib Sadr I, Dr. Fatima Eshun Abass, Muawina Sadr I and II, Hajia Mrs.  Hajira Lartey and Hajia Mariam Bentil respectively; Honorary member, Madam. Sakeena Bonsu; Naib General Secretary, Miss Amina Arthur, Secretary Tabligh, Ms. Fadila Muhammad, Nasirat Secretary and her Naib, Hajia Mrs. Hassana Dimbie and Madam Sarah Anderson and Naib Secretary Sanat wa Dastkari, Madam Sara Dadzie togehter with some MTA crew.

Addressing the purpose for such an honored visit, Sadr Sahiba after introducing members present, indicated that the Ahmadiyya Jama’at have such cordial relationships with all other Muslims in Ghana. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu being the Father of Muslims in Ghana, and have been acknowledged for paving way for Muslims to follow which ensures stability and peace among fellow Muslims. Hence the purpose of the visit was to acknowledge the vital role of the Chief Imam, his contributions towards the Muslim community and the development of the country and to seek his prayers, guidance, blessing and advice for the Jama’at.

Sadr Sahiba prayed that Allah almighty grants our father (Chief Imam) long life with good health and increase him in knowledge as we benefit from him. Sadr Sahiba in her words stated that, “the teachings of Islam direct every Muslim to seek knowledge, Sheikh Nuhu Sharubutu being knowledgeable and well-endowed with the Islamic teaching will be expedient if he aids the Organization to reach other Muslim women to contribute to the spread of Islam through the proper upbringing of Muslim children.” She stated that, “it is the role of every Muslim woman to educate and bring up children to be delightful in the sight of Allah almighty. As such all Muslim women must come together to achieve this common goal.”  

After Hajia Anisah Iddrisu presented the mission for the visit, the National Chief Imam expressed his utmost joy for the visit. He said, “I am happy and honored for such a visit.”

He continued by commending that, Allah has directed the propagation of Islam as Allah calls all mankind to humanity with responsibility and the mission to help one another, know each other and not to fight among ourselves because we are all from one source. That is, we are children from Hadhrat Adam(AS).

He advised members present that peace and stability is a necessary requirement in the country.  Comparing Ghana to the people of Arabia, the Sheikh stated that Allah has provided us with peace and stability as mentioned in the Holy Quran that Allah will provide for the Arabs a land of peace and stability. He continued by saying that, there are other countries and neighboring countries in which wars are being waged and citizens are persecuted but in Ghana, despite our religious differences we still live-in harmony just as Allah has promised that whoever seeks Him, He (Allah) will provide and increase for man his peace if he continues to propagates His message. He also mentioned that we should at all times be grateful to Allah as we see and enjoy the peaceful coexistence amongst ourselves thus, we should always be thankful to Allah.

Bringing his speech to an end, Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu recommended the principled system of organization among Jamaat Ahmadiyya, the respect members show towards each other which we extend to others and our obedience to those in authority.  He encouraged members to continue with the good works to serve as an epitome for others to emulate.
