RECENT ACTIVITIES OF OBUASI ZONE

DONATION
Obuasi Zonal Lajna made a donation to the Amangoase Government Hospital on the 30th of October, 2022. Twenty Lajna members were present including the zonal Sadr and the national Khidmate Khalq secretary (Hajia Mariam Osman). The health coordinator of the zone and circuit Sadraat from 4 circuits were also present. Items donated included; t-rolls, kallipo juice, biscuits, detol, bathing soap, drinking water etc. The items were received by the director in-charge of the hospital, Madam Yaa Manu.

WAQAR E AMAL
Lajna members as well as members of Umoore Talibaat of the Obuasi Zone took part in a clean-up exercise organised on the 29th of October, 2022. The activity was in line with the celebration of the Lajna Centenary.

TALK ON LAJNA CENTENARY
After Jummah, on the 21st of October, 2022, three Lajna members of Obuasi Zone engaged in a talk at the Quite Information Centre, Adansi Asokwa in Obuasi.

OBUASI ZONE LAJNA PARTICIPATE IN NAU MUBAI’AT VIRTUAL FORUM
On the 18th of September, 2022, Shoba Tarbiyyat Nau Mubai’at organised a virtual programme on the topic, ‘The need for the Imam.’ 16 Lajna members from Freso in the Adansi Asokwa Circuit of the Obuasi Zone participated in the virtual forum. Out of the 16 participants were 12 new converts.

OBUASI ZONAL LAJNA HOLDS ZONAL IJTEMA
Obuasi Zonal Lajna held a Zonal Conference (Ijtema) on 14th August, 2022 at Obuasl central mosque. The Theme for the conference was, ‘The Need for The Imam and its Significance’, The Guest speaker was Hajia Mariam Osman, National welfare secretary who spoke on the theme. The chairperson for the ijtema was Maa Hawa Acheampong. The MCE for Obuasi West, the Regional Sadr Madam Adeza Appiah and Madam Jameela Yusuf Addae were the special guests of honour. The Nasirat coordinator was the MC for the conference. The ijtema began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by Ms Sakeena Adanie, a 12 year old Nasirat from Dekyira East circuit.
The Zonal Sadr Mrs. Mariam Addo Afeke gave her welcome address. Mrs Rasheeda Mohammed, Obuasi East circuit Lajna Sadr, led members present in the recitation of the Lajna and national pledges. Mrs Adeza Khamara from Adansi South circuit an recited Urdu poem.
Madam Nusrat, Obuasi West Circuit Secretary introduced the chairperson. Mad Nabila Ahmed (Health coordinator for the zone) gave a health talk on ‘Monkey Pox.’ Mad Khadja Hakeem, the Mal coordinator for the zone gave the vote of thanks.
As part of the ijtema, religious and sporting competitions were held. The religious competitions were salat performance, oral quiz, Qur’an recitation competition for Lajna and Yassranal Qur’an reading for Nasirat. The sporting activities were lime and spoon for Nasirat, musical chair and ampe for Lajna. Two Maulvis and two Muallims were also present.
AHMADI FEMALE STUDENTS OF FOMENA T.I. AHMADIYY A SHS RENEW THEIR PLEGDE
Students of Fomena Amass renewed their pledge in Islam Ahmadiyya on the occasion of the International Bai’at day, on Sunday August 7th at the school mosque. In attendance were 4 Lajna members, 1 Nasirat and 92 students.

VISIT TO BUABIN JAMA’AT
On the 29th of July, 2022, a visit was made to the Buabin jama’at. An election was conducted and Sister Sauda Agyapong was elected as the president for Buabin jama’at. The vice president was Madam Mariam Ahmed. Other members were also assigned roles and offices to carry out the work of Lajna Imaillah in the Jama’at . After the election, members were engaged in talks about the Ahmadiyya faith, love, trust and salat performance.
