Alhamdulillah, about 20 National Amila members attended the reception of the launch of MTA Ghana at the Wahab Adam Studio, Bustan-E-Ahmad on 24th January, 2021.

The reception was held to celebrate the successful launch of MTA Ghana by the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad on the 15th of January, 2021. MTA Ghana was officially launched during his Friday Sermon at Mubarak Mosque in Islamabad, Tilford, United Kingdom.

MTA Ghana is a new digital terrestrial television channel established specifically to meet the needs of the people in Ghana.

The new channel is the only digital terrestrial Islamic channel currently broadcasting 24 hours a day in Ghana.  The TV Channel can broadcast without the need for a satellite dish and is available on a regular antenna in the country. This means that Ghanaians can access the TV channel very easily even on a regular antenna which is available at the same location and platforms as the other major TV channels in the country. The aim is to reach hundreds of thousands of homes across the country and cover all areas in Ghana. The broadcast content covers various languages spoken in Ghana on religious, educational and moral issues and includes all of the programs of the Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, such as his weekly Friday Sermon and other addresses.

The program marked yet another significant landmark in the development of MTA International and was graced by the Ameer and Missionary in-Charge, Ahmadiyya Muslims Community Ghana, members of Parliament, chief Imams of other Muslim communities, media house representatives, medical practitioners among others.

In his key note address, the Ameer, Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih called on all Muslims to spread the true teachings of Islam and correct the misinformation and misinterpretation created by ill-informed Muslims.

Alhamdulillah, the reception was well-attended and was very successful.
