The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women's Auxilary Organization

Who we are?

Lajna Ima’illah, an auxiliary organisation of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, provides women a structure to train, develop, and enhance their religious and academic knowledge, acquire health and fitness skills, manage trade and industry affairs and develop their financial abilities. The aim of Lajna Ima’illah (literally translated as maidservants of Allah) is to raise awareness amongst women of their important status and their great responsibilities in the religious organisation, while focusing on their duties towards mankind as well as their contributions to the society in which they live and raise the future generation. Members of Lajna Ima’illah usually reaffirm their pledge in formal gatherings by reciting out loud the shahadah followed by its translation in the native language of the country and then the rest of the pledge is read out in the native language.

"The Lajna Imaillah is the women's wing of the Ahmadiyya Muslim mission. They augment the efforts of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission; placing particular emphasis on education and the moral upbringing of our children.

Morality in Islam encompasses the concept of righteousness, good character and a body of moral qualities prescribed in the Quran and Hadith; our guide as Muslim women."
